Welcome to the Glam to Gore blog. This is my second year blog, where I will document my final year of university on my BA (Hons) Media-Makeup, Special Effects and Hair design course.

During this final year of my degree I will focus on a major project which will consist of 4 final images. This blog is where I will document all my thoughts and feeling as I progress through semester 1 of this year. 

​A little about me...

The Glam to Gore blog is run by me, Kaileigh. I am a 35 year old mum of 4 and a very passionate and creative hair & makeup artist. I have been working within the makeup industry since 2006. Since begining in the industry I have completed my HNC fashion make up and NVQ level three theatrical, special effects and media make up. Along with my NVQ Level 2 & 3 Hairdressing and NVQ Level 2 Barbering. I gained my Foundation Degree in Media Hair & Makeup in 2021 and once I have completed this final year I will hopefully progress on to complete my Masters Degree or my PGCE. 

My first job within the TV and film industry was back in 2018, where I worked as a daily hair and makeup artist on a feature film. Since then I have gone on to work on several different short and feature films as well as a TV show.

After completing my university studies I would like to pursue a full time career within the TV and film industry as a hair and makeup artist. Aiming to achieve hair and makeup designer one day.
