Teamwork can make the dream work!!
For the artist to have a successful major project they will need to understand teamwork as without this they could be setting themselves up to fail. Plus everyone knows the saying 'Together Everyone Achieves More.' It is something the artist herself was taught as a school child.
It is widely known that teamwork is a good thing to have when working on projects with other creatives. It enables the team to split tasks down into smaller tasks. Delegating different tasks to those who are more knowledgeable can make things run faster and smoother. Selecting who to work on specific tasks based on their specialist skills can reduce costs. Working as a unit can make the project more productive as no one person is working on everything all at once.
Working within a team means when one member lack motivation or their performance dips the other within the group will have the knowledge and motivation to keep everything flowing. Giving the team member struggling the help and support to become motivated and back on track. This means the team can regulate their performance without the need for management intervention.
When a team works on a project together you find there becomes countless solutions to problems and issues you may come across throughout the process. Instead of there being only one set of solutions which may not be the best. A team allows for a different perspective to be considered when working out the best course of action as well as bringing a variety of different skillsets which may or may not benefit the major project. There is a lot of the possibility of someone on the team having more experience within a similar setting who can offer advice to the artist to help build a better team and final project.
Working as part of a team can also increase the artist skillset and strengths. Everyone within the team will bring their strengths to the group allowing for others to gain knowledge and add more strengths to their skill set while also allowing for the team to help correct and improve any weaknesses they have as individuals. This allows them to grow not only as individuals but also strengthens their work as a team allowing for a better performance all-round.
Teamwork can also create healthy competition within the group, especially when there is more than one creative within a group. This allows team members to push themselves to perform better to show their skill set and strengths in the hopes of gaining additional work or collaborations after the major project is complete.
Finally, teamwork can also create good working relationships within the group. Having a working relationship allows for bonds to be formed and friendships to grow. This can result in better communication within the team as everyone is communicating openly. They will work a lot better together as they all get along and they will constantly support and motivate each other which will result in a better final result.
It’s no wonder people value teamwork so much. However, can teamwork be improved with better communication?
