The Banshee Design

For this look, there will be 2 models. The final image will be a dual image compromising of 2 forms of the banshee as depicted from the research.

Figure 1, Old Hag Banshee Sketch

Model one will be a larger model that will be older. They will have red eyes with tear stains on their faces to show the effects of the wailing. Prosthetic pieces will be applied to age them more and give them an older look. This will be applied in several pieces for the face and hands. The artist will also use products to age the model's neck and hands for continuity.

Whereas, model 2 will be taller and younger-looking, keeping with the red eyes and tear stains. Where model 1 will be old this model will be younger and more beautiful.

Figure 2, Young Banshee Sketch

The makeup for the two looks will be very similar as can be seen in Figures 1 & 2. Both designs have pale, sallow looking skin which is turning grey in areas. Their eyes will be red from crying so much and to add to the effect both models will wear grey lipstick.

The reason the artist chose the 2 looks was that they wanted to explore the option that the banshee could be young or old, ugly or beautiful and they could still be just as terrifying.

Figure 3, Black Wig

Both models will be wearing a black wig, this will be styled by the artist. the style the artist is going for with the wig is slightly different for the two models.

Model one will have long curls that are messy showing a well-worn hairstyle affected by the weather and ages. Whereas, the second model will have long curls which are styled in a loose updo. aLlowing to show off the changing times between the two banshees.

The artists will also consider adding ornamentation to the hair if something is found suitable to the 2 styles.

Figure 4, Grey Cloak back. Figure 5, Green Dress, Figure 6, Grey Cloak

For costumes, both models will be wearing the same clothing. This will be a green dress with a large grey cloak. They will also have a black veil styled so we can still see their faces.

Both shoots would be able to take place on the same day and in the same location. This will allow for better time management of the overall planning, process, and result. It would also mean crew were only required for 1 day instead of 2.
