The Team, The Crew

Figure 1, The Crew

Now, no Major Project would be complete without teamwork. The artist was very particular about who she wanted to work with on these projects as she wanted to make sure she had the best team available to help her achieve her goals. The best way to achieve this was to meet with several other creatives and see who best fit which design brief. That way she would be able to build a team around each design if necessary. Some creatives may also be able to collaborate on more than one design, which will make things even easier.

Costume, Props and Set design

Throughout all 4 designs, the artist has chosen to use 2 creatives who can both cover costume, props and set design.

Carly Broon

Carly is an amazing designer and works predominantly in the Tv & Film industry as a costume designer. However, she has also worked in theatre and other departments such as set and props. This means she was able to cover several different departments with the major project. As the artist has previously worked with Carly on film sets, she knew it would be a good fit to have her on board as they already had a good working relationship.

Tabitha Boydell

Tabitha was recommended to the artist by a model. She is a photographer and stylist with a passion for dark, dramatic images with stunning ballgowns and beauty to offset the decay. She runs fullest and events around the UK and based on her portfolio she was a perfect fit for the fairy queen brief. As you can see from Figures 6-9 Tabitha is amazing at what she does, and every picture tells a story to the viewer which is exactly what the artist was looking for when she designed her brief.

Photography

The artist has picked 3 photographers to work on the major project, all are very talented and with totally different shooting styles. This meant the artist had to choose carefully which design brief each photographer would be working on.

Mandy Shaw

Mandy is a fine art photographer whose work drew the artist to her. After reaching out and discussing the artist ideas it was clear she was the perfect photographer for the Fairy Queen design. Looking at her work (figures 10-14) it is clear that she is a very talented photographer who has an eye for fantasy details.

Chris M

Christ is a published photographer who covers a range of styles and genres within his photography. After looking through his work and speaking with him it was decided that he would be the best fit for the Merrow shoot. His keen eye for detail in his work (figures 15-18) shows he would achieve the results the artist is looking for.

Simon Anley

Simon is a social and documentary photographer who has a very relaxed style to his shooting. As a photographer, he loves to tell a story with his pictures which were one of the reasons the artist reached out to work with him. After discussing the artist's ideas, it was decided that Simon would work on 2 of the final designs, this was because of their collaborated ideas for the final images for the Goblin and the Banshee design. Between both Simon and the artist, they have come up with some amazing ideas for the location and styling of the final design. Simons previous work (figure 19-21) also sparked ideas for the possible locations for both shoots.

The artist has also reached out to graphic designers to see if anyone would also like to collaborate on the final project. One is a local photographer who also does a lot of graphic work and someone the artist has been following the work of for several years now.
